I am so sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. It's been a wild and zany month as I have been getting my real life house on the market. Then there was the car accident, a three-week bout with a heavy case of the flu, Holy Week, the 2013 Tom Bishop International Show in Chicago, and work life going full tilt. So, needless to say, I've have had my hands full.
My apologizes for not commenting on all your wonderful and amazing blogs. Everyone has been busy with such beautiful projects both large and small. I'm excited for all of you and hope to catch up on your blogs very soon. Keep going! You are all talented and amazing artists!
I am going to make this a short post, so I'll just post some pictures that show what I've been up to these past few weeks. My next post will have some pictures of Barton Cottage, as I can now return to work on that little project!
A HUGE thank you to all of you who are following my blog! Welcome new followers! You all give me the energy and inspiration I need to keep moving forward with my miniature projects. THANK YOU!
I spent a number of weeks--and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (and curse words) --getting my house ready for sale. Oh little Victorian house...somewhere out there is a family who will love you just as much as I have.
Here's a few shots of the new kitchen I put in. I even sewed new curtains to add a dash of color.
Here's a few pictures of my back entry hall with a "before and after." Sorry for the bad photos. Some were taken with my phone. :(
A few more photos from around my house, including my office work space where all my miniature work takes place.
And then the car accident. Thank goodness no one was hurt! But it was still scary for me and my poor little dog who was sitting in the back seat! He is ok though. Unfortunately, my Ford Focus didn't make it. Rest in peace my friendly faithful car.
But then there was something fun--the 2013 Tom Bishop International. What an amazing time! I would like to thank my loving partner. We went to Chicago together and he was so patient and supportive. Thank you, sweetie. You're the best partner ever! There were such amazing artists at the show. It was truly spectacular. We went and saw the Thorne Rooms at the Chicago Institute of Art too. AMAZAING!

All best,

Hello Brad,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I am so happy that no one was hurt in the accident. I hope your dog was not too traumatized. You did incredible work on your house. I know it will found a new owner who will love it just as much as you did. It is so charming! Going tot he Chicago show is a dream of mine. I am glad you enjoyed it...here's to patient partners! Great Picasso and great fireplace! I look forward to seeing more of the cottage next time, but it is fun to have glimpses into the life of Brad.
Big hug,
Giac
Hi Brad, thank you for your update and I completely understand you have been a little silent in blogging lately; you had a lot to deal with! But...back to mini's; your Picasso is great! You should paint some more! :-) Hugs, liduina.
ReplyDeleteHi Brad, Good to see you back, you've had a rough time, bad luck, but I am glad you and your dog are okay :D! I hope you can sell your house soon, it looks like a cosy house.
ReplyDeleteThe Picasso, oh lala it is great work, love it. Your fireplace looks gorgeous too.
Hugs, Ilona
Hi Brad! Many unfortunate happenings in your life recently. I am sorry for your car accident and the scare to your little dog. The crushed front end is a lot of damage so you must have been really shaken up! I hope that your house sale goes quickly as that is a stressful procedure all by itself, now not having your car compounds it. I am glad that you had some stress relief at the Tom Bishop show. It looks like there were some wonderful things to see and also to dream about.
